Westview Baptist Church is a family-oriented, multicultural church based in Doonside, NSW. The website was built on WordPress using a custom Full Site Editing (FSE) block theme designed to reflect the church’s welcoming and community-focused identity.
Customised Full Site Editing Theme
A customised block-based theme using WordPress Full Site Editing, providing complete control over style and content layouts through the block editor. The design language uses warm neutral tones with accent colours drawn from the church’s existing brand, creating a clean, modern feel that remains approachable and family-friendly.
Design & Information Architecture
The site uses a multi-page structure covering church history, leadership team, ministry groups, beliefs, and visitor information. A large footer displays service times and location details on every page, with a streamlined navigation menu that adapts to mobile viewports. Key content such as sermon resources, giving, and the member portal are surfaced from the main navigation for quick access.
Giving Integration
The giving functionality is integrated directly into the site, supporting one-off and recurring donations through a streamlined checkout flow without redirecting to external platforms.
Member Portal
A password-protected member area provides registered attendees with access to Sunday schedules, ministry rotas, church news, and downloadable resources. Member accounts are managed through WordPress native user management with custom role assignments for content visibility control.
